Request a one-day welder training and preparation courses, where we offer expertise in all welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW. Our industry-experienced staff are here to guide you through equipment setup, parameter selection, and successful welding techniques, providing the essential foundation for your success. The highlight? You'll be fully prepared for the CWB welder's qualification test. Plus, to make your learning experience even better, all consumables and test plates (up to three per hour) are included in the course cost. CWB Welder Testing

MaJIC is an accredited welder test center for the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) under CSA Standard W47.1-19.

Frequent and on-demand test dates are offered, with a quick turn-around for results. MaJIC also offers training for individual welders and company training, on-site or in our facility.

 

Registration and Fees

Welders must apply at MaJIC during regular business hours (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) Monday to Friday. 
Payment is required prior to the release of test results. Typical turnaround time is 2-3 weeks.

Requirements

All welders are required to bring the following equipement:

  • welding helmet
  • gloves
  • goggles/safety glasses
  • hard-toe boots
  • brush
  • angle grinder
  • chipping hammer 

A welder taking a test shall have had 1-2 years of practical welding experience or instruction and training.
 
Please note that CWB certifications are only valid if welder is employed by a CWB certified company. The tickets are valid for 2 years, after which a check test must be taken to maintain certification. If the welder is NOT employed by a CWB certified company, the ticket is only valid for 90 days.
