Contributions from federal, provincial and municipal governments have made MaJIC a reality. The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund (NOHFC) contributed just over $1-million and FedNor contributed just under $800,000 in funding to MaJIC’s start up which included capital purchases and marketing expenses.

Ministry of Research and Innovation contributed $200,000 and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs contributed just under $300,000 through its Rural Economic Development (RED) program to the $3.1-million project. Other contributions to MaJIC include corporate/personal donations and the Town of Kirkland Lake.

NOHFC, FedNor and Northern College continues to suport MaJIC to help its transition into bigger markets.
